Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Opens January 23

Coralville — "Nolte Academy will present a new musical production, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, January 23rd through January 25th, 2015, at the Coralville Center For The Performing Arts. The fourth in a series of musical productions presented by Nolte Academy for Corridor audiences, Snow White features local singers, actors and dancers from ages 6 to 19, who will perform with a live orchestra.

The two-act musical, which runs 90 minutes in length, is based on an adaptation originally performed on Broadway from a book by Elsa Rael and music by Michael Valenti. “We all know and love the story of Snow White. We have taken the classic story and we’ve added our own twist to the story,” said Leslie Nolte, who directs the new production along with Erin Taylor, the vocal director. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will feature lighting design by Jef Crone, set design by Chris Scherrer and Blake Winder and our orchestra will be conducted by Kevin Brown. “We’re thrilled to be able to perform with a live orchestra. It not only makes it fun for the audience, but it’s a great opportunity for young singers as well,” said Taylor.

Tickets cost $12 for children, $16 for students, $24 for adults and $18 for seniors and can be purchased through the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts Box Office at www.coralvillearts.org, or by calling 319.248.9370. For more information, please contact Nolte Academy at 319.688.9289."
